The Lin Approach

Lin Psychological Services is rooted in the cognitive-behavioral approach. Identifying thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that might be maintaining the difficulties or discomfort that individuals and organizations go through, and finding ways to produce a change in them as well as learn new skills, are part of Lin's work methods.

Lin Psychological Services also uses techniques coming from other empirically based intervention methods, mainly:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies, together with commitment and behavior change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility.
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy, which uses compassion to develop feelings of contentment, safety and warmth in the relationships with others and ourselves. Relaxation and meditation techniques are used to achieve states of inner peace and expand consciousness.

Lin aims to promote a holistic understanding of the human being that will help individuals and organizations to better comprehend their dynamics and the conflicting interests inside and among them, in order to develop their full potential, achieve their goals and facilitate their well-being.
